Bits and Pieces

Bits of Claire...

Pieces of me...

The Edwards Family

When editing photos from any session there are always a few that strike me more than the others. Usually this is because they are not your everyday average picture. For one reason or another, they feel more authentic. These are the pictures I like to post here. The pictures that stand out to me. I fancy the unique, the unexpected, the extraordinary.

The Edwards Family themselves are extraordinary which must be why I was so drawn to them. The birth of this sweet baby was one that will not be soon forgotten. He made his entrance into the world while his parents were driving to the hospital. He was ready to come before they could get there so his dad pulled the car off the side of the road and DELIVERED THE BABY HIMSELF!! Can you even imagine? In the back seat of their car! The bravery it must have taken to do that! Both for dad and mom. It's unbelievable. The paramedics arrived just after baby boy was all snuggled up on his mommy's chest.

What a way to come into the world. Greeted first and foremost by your loving and adoring parents.
Meet the Edwards Family.

I absolutely adore how no one is looking at the camera. That feels real to me.

Motherhood

This photo has my whole heart right now.

The femininity.
The intimacy.
The bond.
The deep connection.
The overwhelming satisfaction.
The peace.
The LOVE!

More from this photo shoot coming very soon.
I am editing them as we speak and they are filling me up!

Tapping In

"When we conceive a new idea we are thinking directly from the creativity of God.
God is both the inventor of a game and those who play it, the author and the actor, the song and the singer."

Spend Five Minutes

And read THIS.
I feel more centered after having done so.

And because every post is better with a picture, this is an image from a session I did in December.

More of these to come soon.

A Tomatillo

Until about 2 minutes ago,
I seriously had no idea what this was.
I received this in a variety box of produce this morning.
It was part of our first order with Winder Dairy Farms.
(Which I think I'm going to LOVE by the way!)
What I am supposed to do with it?
It tastes kinda sour and tart...

The only thing I can think to do with it right now is take pictures of it.
So tell me, how can make this taste delicious?
I got 4 tomatoes and 3 onions in the box as well.
Salsa recipe anyone?
Please share one with me.
Email it to me if that's easier.
kehaddock@msn.com
Thanks in advance. :)

I have more to share and will once I have gone through them all.
Until then, I wanted to post this little beauty.

Get excited because this was a very FUN shoot.
Completely unexpected.
So much so that it may surprise you.
It certainly surprised me.

Interface Foundation Lunch at Sundance

Last week during the Sundance film festival, my friend Scott Lazerson, asked me to accompany him to a beautiful home mansion in Park City. I was to be his photographer, documenting the Interface Foundation Charity Lunch. Interface is a philanthropic organization that uses celebrity influence to help eradicate world hunger. This statement was pulled from their website.

"The Interface Foundation was created to bring together the best of the worlds of celebrity and business for the benefit of high-impact charities who are working towards the Millennium Development Goals. Scott Lazerson, Founder of Interface, leverages his connections with celebrities, utilizing their “star power” to bring greater awareness to the disadvantaged people of the world, and the charities who serve them. He is building a network of change-makers, a powerful force for good, as the Interface team also leverages business connections to bring in donations to the fiscally-responsible charities whom it serves."

Simon Rex hosted the event and a few celebs stopped by to learn about ways in which they could help the cause of eradicating global hunger.

This is Kevin Zegers with Scott. (He's the international drug dealer on Gossip Girl in case you didn't know and yes I watch the show.) And, Im just gonna say it for all of us...He's HOT!

Here is Simon Rex entertaining the ladies.

This picture of Scott and Simon also includes Jill Zarin from The Real Housewives of New York City.

This is Simon and Ally Zarin (Jill's daughter) making meal packets for Stop Hunger Now.

Jill and Ally making more meals for Haiti.

This event was so fun and for such a good cause.

I hope everyone has donated to Haiti by now. Celebrities can make a big difference and it's so nice to see that they do, but we, the little people, can make a real and lasting difference as well. Donate Now!
